Introduction |
I ran a Klingon Legitimate Leader/Pagh/Council of Warriors deck for this Block tournament. Gowron in there with persona replacement to Chancellor Gowron for key downloads. Never managed to pull off the Council completion, usually ran into Dead End. Maybe consider Genesis Effect next time.

Round 1 | | Robert McGinty | ML (-35)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
Ran out of time on this one and never got off the ground, hitting wall after wall with Robert's dilemmas. Robert played Romulan/Non-Aligned/22s with Drone support. Tried to blow up his Drone but he had staffed it and actually managed to damage me with Straight and Steady and tactics. He had one mission done to my zero when time was called.

This event's coordinator was playing an aggressive Klingon deck, with some sort of engine for playing personnel revolving around Gowron, as well as a separate dilemma deck that went heavy on Armus and doubled its effect, typically killing 2 staff each time it activated. My deck was slower to have staff report, as was the penalty for wanting to play Romulan, so I had to sit by and watch as Klingons poured through the gates and began buzzing around the galaxy. I did fairly well with getting my various affiliations reporting at headquarters, outpost, and Orion while Daniel began running into dead ends with dilemmas. I seemed to have chosen good combos and locations, as Daniel immediately encountered "Dead End" and had to keep moving. His next attempt was a mission we both seeded, and he again ran into his own "Dead End." After some botched attempts where I lost 2 crew to Armus and two more were sent back to my deck, I was able to "Free Orion Slaves" for 35 points while he hit roadblock after roadblock. When I tried to use my Drone Ship to move a Science personnel to a mission, he opened fire on it but the "Straight and Steady" as well as a well-timed Tactic deflected the attack while killing two of his crew. When time was announced, I simply passed my turn to get the modified win for 35-0. |

Round 2 | | Ian Coleman | FW (+65) |
Quickly solved missions in this game against Ian's Federation deck thanks to key Pagh downloads. |

Round 3 | | Leslie McGinty | MW (+30) |
Time was called early in this match as the game store closed and we were asked to leave. I had solved one mission, and that was enough.
