BajoranDS9-EarthInfinite Diversity draft deck 9/8/12
Introduction
I don't remember much of the games themselves but I can talk about how exciting it was to have 10 players from two different playgroups converge for this massive ID draft. We had two drafting pods of five, and to increase diversity, one pod drafted Classic TNG packs and the other drafted For the Cause packs. I ended up drafting Bajoran/DS9E, and inexperience with the game kept me from making a lot of obvious changes. After the fact I realize I should have cut the DS9E headquarters out altogether as I only had one Fed ship and three Fed personnel. The majority of my personnel were Bajoran (including three different Kiras!) and most of my ships were Non-Aligned. However, the Jaresh-Inyo was the key Fed card meant to give me a jump start and it actually worked in one game - I played Croden, my opponent gave me 5 points, then I played Jaresh-Inyo and lost the 5 points to download DS9 personnel.

Round 1Eric RFL (-65)
Lost very quickly to Eric before I had any idea what I was doing. Eric went on to go undefeated and win the tournament so I don't feel so bad.

Round 2Rick KinneyFL (-70)
Lost to Rick as well, no surprise as he has a lot more experience than me. He did give me some good pointers though.

Round 3CardassianDS9-EarthLeslie McGintyMW (+35)
Leslie played Cardassian and DS9-Earth. I don't remember much of this game except that the win was modified, she managed to stall me long enough to keep me from a full win.

Round 4RomulanNon-AlignedRobert McGintyFW (+35)
I liked Robert's deck concept, as he had cut to a single headquarters (Romulan) but there didn't seem to be enough actual Romulans in there to make the deck effective. This was the game I believe I got the Croden/Jaresh-Inyo trick to work. Also, Robert had a shot at winning this one except that in my final mission attempt he inadvertently set up a stack of space dilemmas for my planet mission.

Closing Thoughts
The draft ran really late and I didn't play so well but I had a lot of fun. I want to publicly thank Rick and TK for making prize donations, Sean for bringing drinks, and Eric for carpooling the Orlando crew and being such a good 2E teacher for my playgroup.
