Resistance is NOT futile |
Introduction |
I decide to use my old Bajoran resistance deck that i totally failed with in my last tournament. With an overhaul of new and old cards, I hope to do better with it since it is the only deck I've had practice with in the last month. |
|
Round 1 | | Kevin | MW (+5) |
A new player learning the game is using Voyager. I start with an awful hand and play more equipment than peeps the first few turns. When I attempt missions, Kevin gets lucky almost every time stopping or removing the right peep to keep me from completing missions. (Hard time/remove ; stoping Non-resistance peep so I cant use earrings) The game ends in me getting a modified win by me stopping his last attempt to get the lead. MW (60-55) |

|
Round 2 | | Mike Harrington | FL (-65) |
This game was pure speed. Mike barely gets his 1st mission by his cheating interrupt Driven, then I catch up. Mike's second mission I fail to notice he played a peep that swept through all my dilemmas killing and removing no one, thus giving him a free mission. This mistake forces me to gamble with my dilemmas on his 3rd mission which he bypasses with, (you guessed it) Driven. FL (35-100) |

|
Round 3 | | Harry Benjamin | FW (+65) |
Don't remember much about this game. The main highlight of this game was me almost completing three missions in one turn. I wish he picked resistance peeps so I could unstop with earrings, but I solve later getting the full win. FW (100-35) |

Round 4 | | rakesubrocket | FW (+60)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
I played against Henry with this deck last month and I see he's using cadets again. This game goes fast with him barely completing Practice Orbital Maneuvers, but Henry is stalled in his remaining attempts while I complete my two easy missions and use Just Like Old Times to get the remaining points I need for the win. FW (100-40) |
Steve was playing the same bajorin deck that I had played before but with a couple new adds and the battle trick was a nice touch |
|
Round 5 | | Kris Sonsteby | FL (-80)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
I see Sonsteby's deck and know I am in trouble. I guess correctly that if I don't get Paenol in play to stop all those The Central Command interrupts, I'm dead. By turn 3 he's attempting missions and I'm trying to get a ship which I don't get until turn 6. As predicted, the interrupts unstop his peeps and I get stalled on my attempts since I don't have my earrings in play. FL (100-20) |
The Full Nelson was employing Bajoran, but had no answer for a turn 3 solve of Eliminate Harvesters. With Parek easily rescued from an Arena relocation that fittingly sent him home within the Cardassian Region, a second helping of Chula: The Game at Acquire Illicit Explosives all but sealed his fate. FW 100-20. |

Closing Thoughts |
My three victories came against players with almost no interrupts played. My two losses came against players who did play interrupts. Lesson learned: Use more Paenols in this deck. |
