Introduction
Continue to play with factions missing in 2E.

Round 1KlingonFederationEdwin LatrellFL (-16)View opponent's Report
Vs Edwin playing Federation/Klingon TOS Movies Alliance. In this very first game playing my deck I realized that it's not working as I expected: all the Nanoprobe Resuscitations were usually discarded for the mining - I just didn't had enough cards in hand to use free plays + card play + use the Nanoprobes trick all in one turn. So I played two - three people a turn and started working on Research Phage where the Iconian Gateway was seeded. To my surprise I rather quickly cleared and solved it. After that moved to Study Protonebula which was also cleared and solved in two turns (Neelix and Seven dealt with V'Ger, no problem, plus 5 points) but then Edwin also solved his second mission and had more that 100 for the win. He played lots of people for free and those guys were all stars from the TOS Movies. I helped him in converting Khitomer into space mission with Buried Alive and on his final turn he was 1 strength away from the win at Earth after Clown Guillotine stopped his first away team. But then he remembered there were also Whales at the President's Office (?!) which provided the additional strength!

Round 2Ben HospFW (+27)
Vs Ben Hosp playing Federation/Klingon TOS Movies Alliance. Ben's deck had Battle Bridge Door, so I saw the battle coming but didn't think that it will be that soon. On my second turn I moved to Protonebula to get One on the next turn but then a wormhole opened out of nowhere and Kla'Diyus appeared from it with Chang aboard. So it cloaked and attacked, Equinox was just damaged but I wasn't able to fight back, so I withdraw. After that my draws only gave me ships for the next three turns and I played all of them, so I had a fleet my the Klingon ship been hiding and just waited for an opportunity to blow up my crew. His dilemmas also killed a lot of people and in this game I found the Nanoprobes very useful in resurrecting some of them back. I tried one mission but found Clown's Guillotine (I had only one Diplo in play at the time). On the Ocampa planet there was Kobayashi Maru Scenario so as I had Kes I decided to move to Protonebula again and solve it on the third turn after Kes saved us from the Cloud. Then I completed Liberation too. Ben meanwhile easily solved my Buried Alive - Gomtuu - God combo (it is very "readable") then Medical Crisis gave me another turn. He moved to another planet and his crew was stopped by my Guillotine for two turns. Then Chula The Game won me another turn. Then he found answers for both uncompleted missions but decided to look what's there after the Game and found Dead End. So he solved the other one that turn but I guess he lacked some skills for the final mission (as there were no dilemmas left there). Back to my play: I decided rather early not to go to Alpha quadrant. I mined all Hidden Fighters and even the Iconian Gateway and worked on two Delta planets and on both found Your Galaxy is Impure + Quantum Incursions. When I had got my last turn to try to win the game I played people to maximize the chances against the QI. I had everything except AU icon and I was lucky to get options 3 and 5.

Round 3Rem BoonFW (-60)
Vs Rem Boon playing Enterprise-E one-ship deck. He was going first but had a slow start. I, on the other hand, had a starting hand full of personnel and one of them was Kes! So I played lots of people first two turns (but didnt get second Geologist, so was just drawing two cards per turn). My turn two download was Penk and turn three - The Pendari Champ (second Geo at last, but we moved to the other side of the space line so he didn't enter the mines for some time (actually I only did the mining once for the entire game). I started with attempts in space as I had Kes in play and couple of Nanoprobe Resuscetation in hand if she would be dead. Equinox was hit by Disgraceful Assault, but only one damage marker - one kill though, luckily pass 33% chance of not killing any of two Security aboard to overcome dilemma. Next dilemma required Leadership which I didn't have on the ship. On the Rem's next turn he attempted the space mission where I seeded Scout Encounter and I downloaded one guy to get Lower Decks and a Leadership guy - they engaged in battle with Ent-E and were blown up so my next turn I downloaded One Nanoprobed the Leadership guy on the Equinox! The game was flown approximately like this: I red-shirted missions with 4, encountered lots of Chuls dilemmas and tried to figure out how to overcome them with the people I had in play. Rem attempted with big crew from Ent-E but was stopped by dilemmas that prevented further attempts: Linguistic Legerdemain, Friendly Fire, Dead End. The key moment was when all my dilemmas counted down to zero and he needed to solve second space (knowing the last but second dilemma) after wchich could autosolve third one with Dead End and then moved to the fourth (he needed to solve four space). At that point after clearing that dilemma Ent-E was hit by The Cloud - there was the single medic aboard and he had EMH in hand but personnel download was already used for him that turn. My next turn I cleared and solved third mission in Delta and Friendly Fire countdown expired on Avery III where we found Armus as the last dilemma wich was not enough to prevent the solve.

Closing Thoughts
During this tournament I learnt the value of Nanoprobes + blue icon borg. Also having Kes aboard during attempt is great - no fear for the crew. I guess, there are situations when this will not work but I'm still to encounter them.
