Introduction
I thought i was going to have time to build my own deck prior to this event, but sadly it wasnt so. So since i knew i wanted to play borg, i looked online for a good, recent borg dissedent deck. i settled on the one used in the German regionals that took second, so thank you to whomever created the deck, it was fun to play.

Round 1StarfleetKris SonstebyFL (-60)View opponent's Report
Awesome, what a fun first draw...Virginia Slim! at least i was distracted by her horrible drink choice :) This being my first time actually playing the deck and seeing it in action, i used this game as a warm-up. And, my slower deck couldnt keep up with the regurgitation of starfleet jobbers. I was happy i was able to solve one mission before i lost and got a little better feel for how the deck works.

Round 2BorgJared HoffmanFL (-60)
Really? Really? Back to basics, i hate you. i was moving pretty good until i actually attempted a mission. Jared had a good dil pile that stopped me pretty good. i would anticipate one dil and he'd throw something completely different. I was unable to stop the large number of borgs he had on the table and i probably didnt do enough event destruction. Got another mission solved, so i was happy with that.

Round 3TOSJustin KaufmanFW (+65)
Glad Justin came out to the events this past weekend, as its always to play and help some of the newer players. They always seem to have a good time and have similar attitude about the game as i do. I had played Justin the night before, so i looked forward to seeing his other deck. I liked it. I was able to sneak pass a couple of dils and was finally able to solve more than one mission. This game would have been a lot closer, and after the game i talked to Justin a little explaining how he could have solved his second mission a lot sooner. Hopefully it was helpful, as i know i always appreciated tips when i first started out playing. hope to see justin out again

Round 4TNGDavid KuckFL (-55)
It was good to play Dave as well, as i hadnt in a long time. This was pretty much how can i slow him down enough so i can solve a mission. I threw the wrong dil on his first mission attempt and he scored the cadet mission on the first try. From then on i was way behind, esp. with the deck i was playing! i was able to slow him down a lot at his second mission thanks to a few timescapes and got my mission solved. i may have even solved my second mission, cant recall but doesnt matter much. He finally got through his second mission and i was unable to slow him down enough at his last mission.

Round 5BorgBarry WindschitlFL (-25)View opponent's Report
Another stinkin borg deck, yay! Solved my first mission on the first attempt i believe, and was able to go hide back home from assimilation. Rather than sit around and wait for him to get all of his events on the table, i went and attempted my second mission (planet) and faced the wrath of a kill pile and some assimilation. Once he assimilated a couple of my peeps, the game was pretty much over even though i was able to solve my second mission. He knowledge and experienced his way through all three of his missions, which is pretty frustrating. But, got two missions solved, so i guess thats something.

Closing Thoughts
i never seem to do very good at these events, but i guess thats what you get for not keeping up with the game much. had a good day hanging out with the guys, getting some trek in and playing a new borg deck. ive already had thoughts on how to change it up so it's only a two mission solve rather than three, since i always found myself solving two forty point missions. Ill post the decklist soon, but its nothing that isnt already posted by the person that made the deck.
