Klingon Block |
Introduction |
Built me a Klingon block deck, because I wanted the Klingon Player achievement... since my last Klingon deck didn't quite qualify for it. |
|
Round 1 | | Daniel Waller | FW (+100) |
This was a nasty game, Klingons blew up everything Daniel could put into play. Felt pretty bad about how brutal combat in Block is. |

|
Round 2 | | Danny Nuttall | FL (-65) |
And this was the karma. Danny wins coin toss, drops Kurdon on turn 1, so he starts firing with 3 ships at my Mercenary Ship. Might have had a better chance if I'd gone first. |

Round 3 | | Smiley | FL (-65)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
A much more peaceful game, blew up a couple of Romulan ships but it didn't matter much. Mike's deck pumped out personnel fast, and did very well against my dilemmas. Only game of the day which wasn't a lop-sided blood bath. |
Matt was playing Klingons. I saw his Battle Bridge side deck, so I knew I had to move quickly. Being lucky enough to get a hand full of playable people, I managed to redshirt my way through two missions, but then a Linguistic Legerdemain locked me out of my final mission. It pretty much meant that Matt was racing against the clock. The final score doesn't reflect just how close the game was, as he was locked out of one mission with Friendly Fire, and when that expired on his next turn, he had that and another cleared out mission waiting. |

Closing Thoughts |
Battle in Block is ridiculous. Based on sentiment at the end of the tournament, I don't think we're going to try Block again until there are some changes made, or some sets rotated out. |
