Relativity - Brisbane Regional |
Introduction |
Wanted to play Relativity in my first 2E regional, since it's a deck I built myself from scratch (no net-decking!), and I'm convinced it's a really solid deck. |
|
Round 1 | | Ben Doyle | FW (+100) |
Poor Ben couldn't draw a ship, game was over just as he draw one. |
|
|
Round 2 | | Craig Giblett | ML (-5) |
This match was a real nail-biter! Borg are scary. Grav Plating Trap on Craig's first Quintessence slowed him down a turn, and he decided to go for missions rather than assimilating. He got Kirk thanks to Assimilate Resistance, but Secret Identity got rid of him at the next mission (no Knowledge and Experience, phew!). I was being stingy at giving Locutus points, but in the end had to concede 10 Locutus points. That turned out to be the decider, with Craig getting MW by 5 points. If we had more time I think I would have had a good chance in this game, with 3 copies of Back to Basics removed by Oh Nothing Happened, and 3 Computation Drones killed with He Wasn't Nice while trying to get a 2nd mission. I'm happy that Relativity could keep up the pressure against Borg. |

Round 3 | | Jay Coad | FW (+95) |
Somehow it didn't seem to work out for Jay. Grav Plating Trap on Ruling Council isn't nice. |

Round 4 | | Steve Hartmann | ML (-30)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
Another nail-biter. I knew Steve was confident that he'd found a brilliant Bajoran deck, and I didn't know what to expect. Somehow it didn't come together in this game (for either of us). Failed mission attempt on my last turn because I forgot to check if I actually had the mission requirements, which should never be an issue with Temporal Transporters. |
Matt and I couldn't solve our missions. I managed to solve two missions to matts one and take the modified win. Heaps of crazy random selections made the game slower for both of us. |
|
Round 5 | | Garry Dillon | FW (+65) |
Relativity fired on all thrusters in this game, was too fast for Garry's TOS micro-teams. |

Closing Thoughts |
Very happy with how Relativity performed, I think it can only get better. Have a feeling Sydney will be starting to tech against Relativity a bit now! |
