Introduction |
I just looked at the decklist for this deck and found that i was short one card, the event Forever Linked. Oops. |

Neuters Sarek by making it so he can't use his skills to solve missions then he makes it so that I have to discard cards from hand to use Spock's skills on missions. It was a fun game and that's really all I care about. |
Even after mindmage not being able to use Spock or Sarek and Dukating his discard pile over and over AND having to dump his entire hand with [card]The Dreamer and the Dream[/card], he still won. Grrr. |

My track record against Borg is lousy and as Kris pointed out, I had skill gaps and ship problems. 21 counters on one turn felt like a ship was dropped on my nuts. Still a fun game. |
Mankind was playing an all Vulcan theme deck, but had ship troubles early and significant skill gaps late. The 21-counter third turn I had certainly didn't help his cause much either, and from there I cruised to victory. FW 100-0. |

Scored 55 points on Traverse Ion Storm and tried to score the game winner on Vulcan. He stopped, killed, captured or Hard Timed the skills I needed. Fun game. |
This game proved that my heart was in good shape. Fairly early in the game Ben was able to get Enterprise-D and more then enough personnel attempt his first mission. Unfortunately for me, the dilemmas I drew were no match for the variety of skills his Vulcans had. Of the three I countered him with only two stopped any personnel and he walked through the other with enough attributer and skills to complete. Not only did he complete Traverse Ion Storm right away, but he managed to pump it up to 55pts! This is where my heart rate peaked and held steady until the end of the game. On Ben's second mission attempt (Deliver Ancient Artifact) I was able to use He Wasn't Nice properly this time and killed two T'Lara's followed by other kills/stops. On my next couple of turns I Ensnared another of his key personnel almost destaffing his ship, but definitely preventing an attempt for his next turn. I also managed to Evek a couple of people, prison compound for 15pts, combo'd Quite a Coincidence and Entek'd his Enterprise-J for 10pts. During those couple of turns I was also able to burn 5pts with Kira to get more peeps and complete Intercept Renegade and Extract Defector, both with Dejar for the extra 5pts each. This brought me to a close win at an even 100pts.
Thanks Ben, that was a very close game and therefor a lot of fun. Can't wait until next time. BTW Love the all Vulcan theme, even extending to a mission! |
