BajoranResistance - April Online Tournament
Introduction
I was torn between playing a weird Voyager four (4) space deck I've been working on, or my Bajoran deck from the online tournament. The Voyager deck would give me at least one achievement, while the Bajoran deck gave me a better chance of winning the event. I went with the Bajorans, and now I'm thinking about playing them a lot to get the "Play Bajorans 10 Times" achievement. But we shall see. There are lots of achievements to be had, and the fact that I keep thinking about them makes me happy.

Round 1KlingonJohnny HolevaFL (-100)
Johnny seemed to be playing the same Klingon deck he played at the Risa Regional two weeks ago, and he handily defeated me in that tournament as well. Klingons have amazing event destruction, and I stupidly kept playing my events for Johnny to sweep away with Korath. He saved his Grav-Plating Traps for my At What Cost?, and I was playing from behind the entire game. He had some great dilemma draws, stopping me (and hitting me with Gomtuu Shock Wave) several times in a row at Kressari Rendezvous. I was able to hold him off quite a while, but it wasn't enough to score points or stop his nigh-unstoppable Klingons. Kudos to Johnny for playing a great deck, and playing it well.

Round 2ByeBY (0)
During my bye, I cut out tribbles for the Tribbles tournament and listened to some podcasts on my iPod. Oh, and I enjoyed an Apple Turnover.

Round 3TOSMatt KirkFW (+65)View opponent's Report
Matt and I had been play testing his TOS deck (mostly against my Voyager deck), and I wasn't optimistic about my chances. My fears were validated when, after my second attempt at Kressari, I had six dilemmas under the mission but he brought over his fleet of Constitution class ships and destroyed the Te'nari with my best people on board. I almost conceded, but I decided to try and rebuild. I was able to hold him off several turns while I played up a few Bajorans and drew into a few of my Just Like Old Times. While he was stopped on Aid Legendary Civilization, I was able to battle two consecutive turns for a total of forty (40) points (Thank you, Colonel Day), then use my Astrometrics Lab to auto solve Kressari (and discard a hand weapon) and slip over my final Range point to Rescue Prisoners. I attempted with six, and Matt threw a single dilemma: Coolant Leak. I suspect he either drew nothing else (as he had a space heavy pile) or he overestimated the number of Engineers I had, and Coolant Leak only stopped one. Fortunately, Shakaar Edon's Strength bonus meant my five remaining personnel could solve, and I snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. The moral of the story: don't concede when you have half your deck left!
