VoyagerEU Champs 2012 Voyager Copy
Introduction
After reviewing all the decks from the European Championships, I felt that Voyager deserved another look. I've never had much luck with Voyager, but much like Borg it doesn't seem to have changed much. I threw together a copy of Johannes' draw deck and combined it with a dilemma pile that seemed to fit.

Round 1KlingonEdward PigmanFW (+40)
Ed was playing a modified KRiS (Klingon Riker) deck. He got off to a hot start and I was struggling to remember what Voyager does. I got off a WNOHGB to slow him down and the Voyager crew slowly started to catch up. We had some good event destruction going back and forth, I even canceled his Grav Trap with my own Grav Trap. Ed should have won this game but got lazy and attempting with 16 at Brute Force instead of splitting into 2 teams. I played Fractured Time and was able to stop him easily. At my last mission, Ed thought he would be clever with a Secret ID + Rogue Borg Ambush combo, but there was a second Intel in the deck to cover RBA and win the game.

Round 2StarfleetEric BiecheFW (+100)
Eric and got off to a slow start taking forever to find Samuels. I sensed his issues early and destroyed his A Sight for Sore Eyes to prevent any 'free' AWC accelerating. I quickly moved through my first two space missions and was well ahead by the time Eric got his Starfleet mojo rolling. I think this could have been a much closer game if he had gotten his typical start. I didn't get nearly as many events in play as I did against Ed.

Round 3KlingonBrian LeonardFW (+45)View opponent's Report
Brian is playing a High Council two-mission+battle=win deck. It's also pretty frightening to play Brian in round 3. This means he's playing something for real instead of his usual experiments. He got off to a fast start playing a Klingon who downloaded a Klingon who downloaded events that download more Klingons. Brian had this download nonsense going for the first three turns until I luckily found Klingon Tea Ceremony and Grav Trap'd some of his events. I was able to stall him at his first space mission with Accelerated Aging and some lucky random picks. Brian was playing his dilemmas perfectly (including a WNOHGB) and I was in serious trouble. I had to use all the Voyager cheats at my disposal in order to get past his well played dilemmas. Hindrance was the key to the game. I was able to kill off Janeway twice to draw/spend additional dilemmas and keep Brian from steam-rolling me. I saw Secret Identity a lot today and I think I did a good job of anticipating the wall that was coming and replacing the correct skill back to the team.
