Al Schaefer (ltkettch17) Tournament Report - Tr 2013-03-17 - 04:00 PM Irregular Utilize 1.2 Introduction I updated my Scan/Convert deck with some Go and Discard to assist with going out more often and some Poison for more scoring opportunities. It didn't quite work as well as I would like, and it's no longer eligible for the Peak-a-boo achievement family, but I think it's a more solid deck with the changes. This was the League Finale and my last chance to catch Brian in the standings. I would need to win here as well, and I could really use the 100K Clone AI Foil to boot! Round 1 () Poisoned for 10 and Utilized for 1000, BOO! Michael Toxin'd for 111K and Maggie went out with 11k. Round 2 () Toxin'd for 100, Utilized for 300, went out with Quadruple and IDIC for a total 0f 123K. Ed Utilized for 10K, Eric and Brian Tally'd 100k each. Round 3 () I only Utilized for 1. Ed went out for 120K, but Michael Toxin'd for 200K and took the leade. Round 4 () I Utilized for 100. Ed went out for 210K. Round 5 () Going into the final round, Ed and Michael were in the lead, but not far out of reach. Unfortunately, I only Utilized for 1000K and could not make a comeback. Ed went out with 232K and secured the victory. Closing Thoughts Congrats to Ed on winning the game. Brian finished 2nd in 2E and 5th in Tr, and scored enough League points to win this year, Congrats to Brian. He's now won for the second year in a row. I was able to play 9 Utilize/Poison/Toxin and scored a measly 2511 Tribbles, certainly less than average, but I was glad to see that the opportunities to score were there.
