Tournament Report - 2E - Peldor Gratitude Festival |
2015-12-12 - 12:00 PM |
Introduction |
Peldor Joi Bend The Rules unsanctioned event. As has been the case with almost all my events this year I was unable to spend the necessary time to prepare for this event. I made some minor tweaks to my winless Hologram deck and gave them another go. Unfortunately, I forgot how to play and my games weren't nearly as competitive as my last try with them. |

Round 1 | | Casey Wickum | FL (-70)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
Things got started pretty good in this game until I attempted at a span 4 mission and got Gomtuu'd. |
I had a horrible opening draw and it proceeded to not get better, however I managed to derange his ship on his first attempt and essentially end the game early on before really realizing it, I started to learn out to make this deck jive a bit better though during this game that would help me out in the long run. |

Round 2 | | Jason Beyer | FL (-70) |
Things got started pretty good in this game until I attempted at a span 4 mission and got Gomtuu'd. Yes, this game was about as identical to the first game as possible. |

Round 3 | | Bye | BY (0) |
Basically, I realized that I need to wait till I draw or download the card that keeps me from getting Gomtuu'd before attempting the 4-span mission. |

Closing Thoughts |
Well, I really sucked today, but I had a fun time hanging out with everyone and playing Trek. 2015 was a down year for me, I only played 25 tournament games finishing with 15 FW, 9 FL, and 1 TT. Pretty impressed that I only had one game finish after time the whole year. I did get the Regional win this year, but that was mostly attributed to Casey's car trouble, Moskop's bad draw, and IL Masters lowering our attendence. 2016 doesn't look like it will be any easier for me to play Trek. My work responsibilities keep increasing, and my wife and I are expecting a baby in March. Like I said last year, I'm not going to stop playing, but I'll be playing less. Always looking forward to the next opportunity to spend time with friends and play some good games. |
