TOSRisk is our buisness - Tacking Into the Wind - release version -
Introduction
With two guests from Kassel six players met in my flat for a little release tournament. Since Katie and Tyler are back in the States we are happy for every player joining our tournament. 3 SF decks, 1 Romulan deck, 1 Cardassian deck and 1 TOS deck

Round 1StarfleetBenjamin LiebichTT (0)
Benjamin was playing a SF mirror deck. My TOS deck was not tested - so I was not sure if it would work - Benjamin was playing a few events in his core - making me fear Tsiolkovsky Infection at my first mission - so I was going for my ETUs and Julian Bashir Medical Staffer first. We both managed to stop each other once in a while. Knowing mirror Starfleet - I was surprised how good Benjamins Deck worked - supported by his d-pile it was an unexspected hard struggle.

Round 2sascha kieferMW (+30)
Sascha was playing a Cardassian capture/mission-solver combo. Seeing the Hardscrabble World I decided to concentrate on card draws - looking for Number One to rescue possible captives. I got Kirk - Highly-Decorated Captain fast enough to download Number One and the U.S.S. Enterprise-B. Sascha was unlucky with Evek AoCJ - capturing only Benjamin Finney. I run through my first mission (Automated Repair Station) - supported by John Harriman and the Enterprise-B - keeping Number On, Driven, Bridge Officers Test, an some Officers in my hand. While Sascha attempted his first mission I forgot Elim Garak First Officer of Terok Nor - So he got the mission soon enough to keep game open. My second mission was Avert Danger - Two Accelerated Agings - stopped me - oh Ronald Tracy - how much I missed u. At least I made the mission for a modified win.

Round 3Florian OttFW (+30)
Playing against my "big one" son I faced the 2nd. SF deck in the tournament. While preparing for the tournament we spend plenty of time in SF deck construction. A pure mirror deck did not work - so we decided to change his basic Nathan Samuels deck - (Archer could support the Deck, but Starship Defiant was just for the rules). Knowing his deck - speed is the only clue to win. With some lucky draws I maneged to win.

Round 4StarfleetThomas SchneiderFW (+30)
The last round was a battle against Thomas - a battle that I m normally used to loose. Thomas played a SF mirror using Starship Defiant and its Captain, Brennan Scott and Standard Punishment - playing Automated Repair Station, Eliminate Sphere Network, Restore Errant Moon and Secure Strategic Base. The winner of this match is winner of the tournament. It was my third SF-deck I faced that day, so I was familiar with my opponents cards and its possibilities, the only problem was the d-pile of Thomas. I once again trusted in "the hearts of the cards" and my d-pile that worked well today (I really love An Issue of Trust and Murder Invetigation). Thomas did his Automated Repair Station very quickly - getting 10 points from SF Earth. Using mirror Phlox he killed some of my non-unique guys to slow me down. Watch Dog with 2 Standard Punishment causes me some head ache. One would be no problem for my Sisko - but the second. I managed to destroy 1. Watch Dog - but only for a while - a 2nd. Watch Dog and Bridge Officers Test and my problems started again - so Sisko had to been protected at all cost. I solved my Automated Repair Station - while Thomas completing Secure Strategic base. In my next turn I solved Track Survivors - so 70 points for Thomas and 65 for me - at this point Thomas once again was a highly fair player - (we were running out of time ) and played very fast - stalling or normal speed playing had made him the winner - so he gave me another round were he unfortunatly could not stop me. I solved my last mission - full win - And the fair player price goes to ....
