Not Quite Fifty Shades of Gray |
Introduction |
Since I had the bye, I decided to go with a simple deck using Cybernetics with the Soong-Type Androids along with the free Enterprise/non-unique people. If I were to do this again, I would actually read the cards (has to match the ship/outpost for the non-uniques.) Probably would redo it and actually pay attention to the people in the deck to make sure that the others have skills to solve dilemmas too. |

No stealable missions and I get to be reminded what card I don't like in 1E - Time Travel Pod. I was keeping up with Greg who was playing a Klingon Cybernetics deck but then he got the Pod and that was that. All of my people on the ship were lost to me and he eventually solved two more missions. I would've gotten my people back if I had another turn. |
Michael was playing TNG Fed/Androids with a lot of Shades of Gray based dilemmas. I managed to get out enough personnel to power through his dilemmas, although I did make a couple of mistakes. Like my bad math leading me to think the 36 x 2 = 62... yeah. I was able to get my Time Travel Pod and he didn't have an Amanda for it, giving me more than enough time to win the game with his best personnel unavailable. Full win 100-35. |

I stole his Investigate Shattered Space for 50 points but I guessed wrong about him solving Insurrection. Couldn't solve my planet mission as I only have one Biology in the deck (who was already dead) hence not able to ever solve that. |
MVB was playing some nice fed droids. He also had was playing for the PAQ dilemma achievment.
On his first turn he reflection therapy'd one of his mission specialist to stellar cartography -- i looked across the spaceline and I had the only missions with Stellar. Whops, that was an easy steal for him. However, he also forgot to get a QtR on his first turn, so i downloaded everyone on turn one, leaving me with something like 13 people out on turn one. they were able to move fairly quicly through three missions (including and insurection) for the win. |

Round 3 | | Mark Bloom | FL (+65) |
Bonehead play of the tournament for me - seeded dilemmas at Warped Space to steal. Have the people able to solve the mission but forget to play my second Science (an android which I had in hand) He solves it and that was that - I solved one mission and would've solved our same-seeded planet mission this time but they were hit by a Time Travel Pod and that was that. |
