Tournament Report - 2E - WCT Champions League |
2012-09-07 - 12:00 PM |
Introduction |
I had only 1 Leadership and 1 Transporters drafted in the entire draft which is bad when your space missions require either Transporters or Leadership. I believe that, since I never saw very many Romulans, that at least one or more people in my pod were playing Romulans as well. Just had to hope that T'Pau never died... |
|
Round 1 | | Herman Chan | FW (+70) |
A new player to my list, yea! Herman is more of a 1E player so it was more explaining what was going on. Eventually I ended up winning as I bluffed while I was waiting to get T'Pau to solve Explore Black Cluster. |

Round 2 | | William Hoskin | FL (-35)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
Unstopping Romulans makes my dilemmas sad... Kalenna to make me miss others with randoms selections make my dilemmas sadder. If he hadn't had a bad shuffle it might have been over sooner... |
Whenever I sit down against Michael I'm always concerned that there will be some attempts that I cna't draw and spend any on. Whilst I was drafting I managed to get a couple of conflicts and clutterings which turned out to be the difference maers in this game. Being able to draw some extra dilemmas when Michael was attempting with 4 dilemmas under gave me a chance to stop him and gave me an extra 2 turns. Cluttering gave me a way around some of Michaels dilemma plays but in the end it was my Romulans unstopping ability that gave me the win. |
|
Round 3 | | Greg Dillon | FW (+70) |
A new player to my list, yea! Instigate Dissension helped slow him down and Thon help get me back and forth to my Explore Black Cluster. |
|
|
Round 4 | | Shane Brierley | TT (0) |
I held him off for the longest time at Deliver Ancient Artifact while I solved my planet mission but not before losing T'Pau to a random dilemma. That stalled me and I went through my deck and re-draw of deck to get her again. He lost 5 points from something and we ended up true-tie after I failed with a draw 1/spend 1 situation. |

Closing Thoughts |
Four new people to my list of 2e players that I haven't played before. |
