Ten times and still no win |
Introduction |
I had an idea one night that the virtual Opaka could be cool with Symbol of Devotion. The deck would work like this - Play Opaka (eventually get her cheaper with Energize) for 5 points, use Symbol of Devotion to put her on the bottom of the deck to download Opaka again, using her to fuel At What Cost. Usually though, I'd either get no At What Cost or no Symbol. |

Round 1 | | Tyler Fultz | FL (-85) |
Energize never stayed in play for long, a lot of people went under with ALC and that was pretty much all she wrote. |

Round 2 | | Nickolay Korotya | FW (+5) |
This time it worked better, not to mention getting away with good skill tracking to pull out this win. No solving ALC for him this game which gave me the win. |

Lousy skill tracking for me in this game - Crom and Inglatu have Diplomacy for example. Couple this with Odo just giving points away and my dilemmas were all kinds of fail for me. |
MVB was using Resistance Opaka and Symbol of Devotion to generate points for AWC, then spam Bajorans. I didn't see any cheater interrupts, but I could not afford to simply assume they weren't there, so gave Michael Ominous Presence / Unfair Comparison / Whisper / Sylvia on his first attempt, which set him back two turns. Myself, I walked right through PEL when Legacy whiffed, but got stopped twice by the remaining two copies at Elude Fed Forces, and once more by Healing Hand / Gomtuu (I completely forgot that I had sacrificed my only Alpha Jemmie in play to Our Death an AWC and was fully convinced I would simply pass the Gomtuu using Strength). Michael completed the short-stacked IMA with 4, then flew on to attempt Amnesty Talks with 9. Slightly Overbooked / WNOHGB sent him on a trip, though. On my turn, I brought in reinforcements with the Warship, including Odo, so when MVB tried Healing Hand into Gomtuu again, I had exactly 33 Integrity to show. I then moved my 6 unstopped people to the Siege and attempted. Michael only had Pitching In to play, so I gave him 10 points with Odo and completed right away. FW, 100-45. |

Round 4 | | Oliver Thust | FW (+95) |
Oliver just couldn't get his deck going while I was out like a light. This was the only game that the deck worked like it was supposed to. |

Closing Thoughts |
I might revisit this idea again sometime. |
