Introduction |
Well, Infinite Diversity drafts are rather interesting, Can't say I liked the format all that much, but it was somewhat fun to play with and against cards that I have never used before.
My mission pack had TNG and KLI Hqs, I was torn between the two, I was hoping to get both, but decided to go with TNG only. I had the Bozeman as my Focus ship as I was able to get a decent amount of Fedricks who boosted it up to a decent amount of range. |

Round 1 | | Edward Pigman | FW (+70)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
Ed dropped on Turn 1 :( |
Dropped when I was made aware of how big of a drafting mistake I had made. |
|
Round 2 | | Al Schaefer | MW (+25)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
Al was a tough match, as we had some solid dilemma plays overall and both of our first mission attempts were very hard to get through. The Clown: Go Away is a pretty good dilemma overall, I feel like I should look at it more in competition as it slowed up my plays quite a bit.
Al landed some janky dilemma that stopped no one, but made me lose 5 points which blew. and caused me to Mod Win. I was a bit depressed that when he attempted with 15 people I couldn't draw the Oh No! that I had.... But was a fun game. |
Casey was also in my draft pod and was playing just a single HQ. I thought I would have the advantage, but the first personnel he played boosted his ships range and he easily moved from his HQ to space mission in the same turn. It was another evenly matched game, but Casey was pulling ahead. I made a huge error leaving my only Diplomacy behind when I was close to finishing my space mission. I was down to a very poor dilemma choice and took a chance on Best Interests at Heart and it WORKED! I chose three 1-cost personnel and Casey lost 5 points and was stuck at 65. Time was running out and I completed my space mission and went back to my planet with a few stacked under. Casey had a dilemma in play that reduced all my attributes by 1 so splitting my crew into two teams just wouldn't cut it. I went with all 15; Casey stopped 1, then used the Chula that split me into 2 teams and that was enough to stop me and end the game. Crazy fun game with a lot of randomness that I haven't seen in a long time. |

Round 3 | | Maggie Geppert | FW (+70)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
Maggie had a lot of people who's names I did not know and Skills all over the place. When you have Klingon's and Ferengi working together anything can happen. The Clown: On His Throne was very useful in that it could change the Strength Requirements to Cunning or Integ and make her Strength > 42 alot more difficult to solve. I put an ACE in my dilemma deck for fun cause it was a hand me down and the last card passed to me in one draft round. I never would have though it would trigger though, Bonus~
|
As usual, Casey is just too fast! The Clown really killed me a couple of times. He had drafted a couple of different Clown dilemmas, which kept me from completing anything before he finished. Plus he can skill track, which I'm no good at. |

Closing Thoughts |
I had felt I drafted fairly strong, As I had a solvable set of missions and a good base of people to get the two missions done I needed too. |
