Martok + Kahless = Delta Quadrant |
Introduction |
I thought I would try a different fun deck to play at this tourney as TOS can be a bit stale and my regionals decks weren't printed out yet. |
|
Round 1 | | Michael Moskop | TT (-1)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
I knew I was totally hosed with Maquis coming up. I had hoped to solve before I would have problems with personnel but was only able to get 2 missions done and a few dilemmas underneath the last one. I felt his TT/Ace pile was pretty well out of ammo and if I had a little longer I think I could have muffled out a FW. Dilemma Pile played like a champ like usual against Maquis though. |
Casey was off to a quick start but my kill dilemmas was able to filter out his Anthropology well and force the true tie at the end. I would have won the game if my kill pile didn't fail me a lot throughout the game. I consumed 9 cards without seeing any of my ACE's. |

Round 2 | | Corbin Johnson | FW (+35)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
I know that Relativlty matches up very poorly with how I like to run my dilemmas... I got off a to a solid lead with my Klignons all having around 8-12 Integ thanks to various attribute boosts and was able to micro through my missions and dilemmas. I was so angry I botched an Infinite Diversity when I knew he was lacking 4 skills :( My first since last June. |
Casey was dismayed when I played two ships on my first turn, but that was the height of the excitement this game. Lesson: Just don't play gomtuu ever against Klingons... ever. I did get an intimidation to stop all of his guys at one point which was cool and I felt like I had a better shot at this game but there's this dilemma from reflections that requires a medical or else all of your guys get stopped and the dilemma returns to the pile. After bashir got caputred early in the game (inequitable exchange) and crusher just couldn't keep up sickbay all on her own (she's got a ship to command you know!) and the evil doctor didn't want to come out to play, I was just hosed. |

Round 3 | | Isaiah Nordhagen | FW (+35) |
Isaiah was back in town, I last played him nearly 6 years ago... Anyway, He dropped just about every cadet in the book minus Wesley, but he couldn't get any people to cover up his skill holes well enough. The Prometheus made me change my style to go for double planet first and build a hand of interrupts and personnel which came in handy at my last space mission, and would allow to finish it in one go with a handy Bridge Officer. |

Closing Thoughts |
This Klingon deck is designed just to be a fun change of pace deck from the norm and play something kinda rare. Either way though, Klag still OP and Riker is a jerk as always. |
