ID Draft deck |
Introduction |
for the ID draft tourny i ended up drafting alot of romulans mixed in with a few key NA Personnel also after drafting a couple of enterprise-J's and a couple of Unfair terms I decided that I would run the pair of 40 point missions that i had gotten as well. |

Round 1 | | J | FW (+35)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
My first round match-up saw Me playing against J who was running DS9/cardasion. this game went back and forth for a bit with me solving first in space fo 30 points then going planet and send my entire crew of 14 to attempt hoping to power through for the Win but getting stopped while having a couple of folks removed from the game. meanwhile J had 5 dilemma's under his planet mission and I believe it was another 4 under His Sapce mission at this point He went space giving me 3 dilemma's but I drew poorly and He manged to solve taking the lead 35-30 at which point i was able to hit him with a Surprise amity to stop all of His personnel keeping Him from going to solve his planet Mission and giving Me one last turn to try and get the Win i was able to split into 2 away teams to attempt to Solve Deliver ancient Artifact after he managed to stop my first attempt I sent My second crew giving Him 1 dilemma which He wasn't able to play and managed to get the solve with the help of the Enterprise-J to get the FW 70-35 |
I got out early and started attempting my planet mission well before Ted. His first dilemma throw killed three of my people, but I happened to have both ETUs in play already, so it hurt less than it should have. Eventually, I worked to get 5 dilemmas under the mission, which was just enough as I could solve it with 5, but I made a decision that would cost me in the end. I left it unsolved so that Ted could not get those solid dilemmas back and played a second ship so that moving between two missions and the HQ in a single turn was quite easy.
But space turned out to be much harder. ted had plenty more solid dilemmas there and when I finally did solve it, he played the key card of the game Surprise Amity, which stopped my crew and gave him one more turn to win. And he made good use of it! |

Round 2 | | Kris Sonsteby | FL (-70)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
In round 2 I was facing Kris who has running Qo'nos/cardassia unlike in my previous game I failed to get some of my key personnel an when i made my first attempt at Ancient Artifact I realized that i didn't have 1 of the skills i needed to solve and wasn't able to recover quick enough to get back into the game before Kris managed to solve his Space mission for the FW 70-0
|
T-Rex was rocking straight Romulan, but was slow out of the gate as mission skills were noticeably absent. After taking an In Development and an Unfair Terms on the chin at Salvage Borg Ship, Telle turned two kills from Friendly Fire into a choice stop from Dark Page at Battle Reconnaissance to win it. FW 70-0. |

Round 3 | | Michael Moskop | FW (+25)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
In Round 3 I was facing Michael who was playing ferengi. after He got out to a quick start thanks to a first turn surprise party, and a fairly quick sole at Mining survey. So I had to rush out and try to catch up so I went to attempt Ancient artifact where he managed to get the stop with only a couple of Dilemma's under and a Clown: Go Away on the mission. at which point I decided to fly home to grab the people i had there and then on to my Investigate Alien probe where He managed to get the stop. we traded stops again and another well timed surprise Amity stalled Him long enough for me to Solve Alien Probe then fly Home to retrieve some Personnel and onto ancient Artifact where I was able to split into 2 Away teams and he managed to get the stop on My first attempt only get 1 more dilemma under as My second team of 5 went to attempt giving Him 2 dilemma's to draw and 2 counters to play and only being able to play the captains guestwhich didn't stop anyone allowing Me to solve for the FW 70-45 |
The same situation occured in this game. The Ferengi attributes just were not enough. The game did come down to luck though as I would have won if Ted hadn't drafted and drew into a second Suprise Amity to stop my second crew from attempting my second mission. |

Round 4 | | Jon Carter | FW (+70)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
In Round 4 I faced off against Jon Carter who was playing ferengi with a touch of TNG Feds. the game got off to a quick start i was able to get enogh guys out along with a ship to go attempt Investigate sighting with 8 personnel He played a Breaking the Ice not realizing i had 2 toq in play along with Croden to walk through it and get the quick solve. then i needed another couple of turns and a pair of Product placements to get My needed Archaeology personnel in play in the mean time My opponent went to and attempt Investigate alien Probe where i managed the stop with an in developement and one other dilemma on his second attempt I gave him a dreamer followed by an unfortunate Roll managing to get the stop and costing Him his hand. i then went over to attempt deliver Alien artifact and managed to get enough people through His Dilemmas to get the solve with the help of the Enterpise-J and get the FW 70-0 |
He wins the toss.
I make I think a dumb mistake and let him play cheap rather than give points – giving him a turn earlier start
I miss judge his geo and wiff first turn at space , I blow spavce. Where all my good dillemasa I am sure this is going to cost me the game. Then he SRR for in dev. I am done
My second attempt I get dreamered becasye his chula works
I am effed Two of my ships are in the discard pile. And I don’t thinlk I can come back
I misread another dilemma and may have given it up in one try for the planets. I Wasn’t on by game and this went terrible.

Closing Thoughts |
Overall i was happy with the way my deck played and had i have managed to get my missing Archaology against Kris I may have managed to win this one. i think that I must say that the MVP of My deck was Surprise Amity which helped get me in position to win 2 of my games by stopping my opponent from attempting a second mission after solving there first or from getting a second Mission attepmt after being stopped on the first try.
Can't wait to try this format again. |
