Introduction

Round 1StarfleetUnjustly BannedFL (0)
Opening hand had Voyager? Yes. Sweet. Amazing, this wasn't the only game I’d play today where Reflections would scupper my space attempts. I like to think James didn't win because of his skill, but my stupidity; after completing my fourth space mission and scoring (over) 100 points, hands were about to be shaken. Sadly, we realised that my The Long Journey Home wasn't in play. James got another turn and my dilemmas failed to stop him. I lost 100-100.

Round 2KlingonWilliam HoskinFL (-100)
Opening hand had Voyager? Yes. Double sweet. Sadly, Will’s opening hand had Kruge and a battle event. The next turn he dropped a ship, and I wasn't able to play enough personnel. I got Kruged, lost Voyager and two personnel. After that, I lost three more personnel to Kruge (Kruge captures four personnel? Really?!) I eventually got out a Delta Flyer, played personnel to Voyager, moved them to the DF and flew it to Kronos while I gathered my forces, but it wasn't enough. Full Loss – 0-100

Round 3RomulanNicholas YankovecFW (+30)
Opening hand had Voyager? Yes. Triple sweet! Can’t remember too much about this one, expect that everything came up Milhouse; I completed three space mission, spent bonus points on Field Studies, AWC? and a Thompson, dropped TLJH before the fourth attempt, and completed for the full win. Full Win – 100-?

Closing Thoughts
Post Tourney Analysis: Maybe add an Exocomp/Shield raising Maneuvers, possibly a couple of cheap Voyager personnel (Larson, Andreas Colter)? Might also drop the Chakotays (both Regular and Revised) in favour of some different, less commonly used personnel. Aside from that, the deck and the bouncing dilemma pile didn't work too badly. Must remember: if three missions are under the belt, play TLJH before starting the fourth.

I can see why people playing Voyager so rarely go 5 space missions now - dropping the kids off at the planet mission while there's a mad Klingon looking to snag your crew and ship sucks. I think that's what I'll do next time.
