Introduction |
Plyed an easy to use Virtual Cardassian Deck. As long as you get an extra five point SOMEHWERE, you're in good shape. There are large portions of this deck that are discardable, but you can juggle with Damar/Groumal goodness. |

Round 1 | | Derek Marlar | FW (+60) |
I got off to a good start with getting Groumall in play and Evek gave me some good captives, although I didn't need them when solving missions. I had some problems with Security, but wound up solving a mission without having to face dilemmas for the win. |

Round 2 | | John Paul Veasey | FL (-35) |
I did a pretty good job of slowing him down in solving his first mission. Unfortunately, by the time he did so, he was more than ready to take over the galaxy. A bit more time and I might have gotten my other mission to win, but that wasn't a garauntee at all. |

Round 3 | | Pat Bortz | FL (-30)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
He was playing an 8472 deck and got to the point where he could sit back and win in two turns. However, I was in position to win the game through points, so he had to solve another mission to win using the standard victory condition. Otherwise, this would have probably gone the other way entirely. |
Playing against Ross's Cardassian/Groumall deck. I got Dukat, Pat-wraith Puppet out pretty early and kept grinding up his ships, so he couldn't get any bonuses off them. Unfortunately my initial draw was really bad I kept drawing high cost Personnel and Events which really slowed me down. Ross got one mission easily when he played The Central Command and while I had an Our Death's card I couldn't play it since none of my Jem'Hadar were in play. He tried a 2nd Central Command later, but by then had got a Jem'Hadar in play and killed him to stop it. I risked the Northwest Passage mission for the first time in the tournament. Lost one of my Dominion Astros, but fortunately still had Serova with her Double Astros to solve and I got a couple Species 8472s into the core. Since this game went so long I got 7 Species 8472 Dilemmas in Ross's core. |

Closing Thoughts |
Fun day overall. The deck is a good one, I just need to learn how to play it better. I didn't realise all the round the corner strategies until too late in the event. |
