DS9I Ripped this off
Introduction
I haven't been to a 2e tournament since phoenix-con 2002/2003. I came on a whim with a deck that I found I could build mostly. Lucky for me, I had bought a box of What You Leave Behind so that I could put a very important Ezri Dax in the deck. In the end it wouldn't really matter but I had a very fun time. Thanks to everyone for the support in helping me get up to speed with 2e at warp speed. Also, thanks for letting me take the free box home to look through it for stuff to harvest for later decks. I'm eagerly looking forward to the next tournament as well as some tribbles afterwards!

Round 1Non-AlignedMichael MoskopFL (-70)View opponent's Report
Mike's deck desired to go second so that he could download Lore on his first turn. He did. I played a holding cell to take his lore. He had no lore for the rest of the game. It didn't matter. I soon realized my deck (which I'd printed out only hours before and really hadn't read) needed to solve four missions to win. That meant this tournament would be very bumpy for me. Mike won handily but was gracious enough at one point to let me take back playing a second luther sloan at one point without penalty (I hadn't realized I had two in play). Mike is a very gracious opponent and offered me a few deck tips after the game which I graciously accepted.

Round 2TOSAl SchaeferFL (-70)
Al's deck made use of McCoy to get rid of dilemmas that I had overcome. This more or less locked me out of finishing any missions. by the time I'd put McCoy in a holding cell it didn't matter. I also learned that dilemmas whose costs are modified by their game text are modified at encounter time and not at "seed" time. That sort of helped Al. Al claims he brought the wrong dilemmas and that this problem might cost him the game. His dilemmas were adequate and secured him a win. good game.

Round 3RomulanJason BeyerFW (+100)
Jason and I play 1e hardcore on the weekends. We both don't play 2e ever. However, Jason bravely showed up and as we were both in last place, we played each other. My DS9 guys vastly outnumbered his romulans and were able to get passed his sneaky insults and peacemaker or predators and roman assassins and brainwashes somehow to actually pull off a win. His romulans put up a decent fight though! good game.

Round 4FerengiMaggie GeppertFL (-40)
Shenanigans. That's all I have to say. Also, there was some ferengi that overcame and prevented dilemmas left and right! Kirk, eat your heart out! It was actually pretty even till the end as I did get to solve two missions! Good game.
