Introduction |
Someone played this deck at a regional and got second with it. I thought I'd give it a shot. Basically, get Winn + ferengi + tongo: confront + a Chakotay: First officer in the discard pile and just keep putting him on top of the deck with winn. Rinse and repeat for +15 points each turn (if possible). Two mission win with Deliver Evidence (35) + Risa (40). |

Round 1 | | Amber Van Breemen | MW (+5)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
I Truly feel bad about how the game ended. Maggie (TD) called 2 minutes left and I had gone second. I was organizing my two away teams for Risa as I thought I had to solve to win. Amber pointed out to me that I did happen to have 5 more points than her at the time (and we both had only solved one mission) so I didn't have to solve the mission to win. That meant that I should hurry up so that Amber should get another turn. Unfortunately, before I had figured out my away team(s) time was called. I still attempted the mission and did not solve but it didn't matter. Ugh. I'm sorry to amber as she would have probably solved another mission on her next turn.
Amber did get 10 or 15 points early on from tongo. I learned that game to not give away tongo points if possible (especially to starfleet!)
Amber had a really good build. My dilemma deck hates Archer, Lorien and Karen Archer. They are the trio that make me think way too hard when playing 2E. Perhaps I should stick a few minor difficulties in my deck for the Future Enterprise... Arg! Good game though Amber! |
Playing a Tongo build in which Kai Winn kept putting 7-cost Chakotay back on top. I used what I could (Lustful, GPT) to keep them away; although before Chakotay was in the mix I won a couple Tongo's and got to use those points for AWC. Came close at the end, another turn or two and it could have gone either way. ML, 55-50. |

Round 2 | | Michael Moskop | FL (-30)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
Starfleet again??? Mike has been playing Starfleet a lot recently. He had been playing a deck similar to Amber's. This time, Mike was having fun with Mirror Starfleet. Mike did deserve to win this game as he solved one of his planets with 4(!!!!) personnel (he had sent 6 or 7). Tongo discard his Slar early on and he was pretty pissed about it. Anyway, mike was faster than me and got the win out. after the game he told me that he wasn't sure he would pull it off. I think he had the speed advantage though. Good game! |
This is probably the biggest squeaker of a win that I have ever had. Corbin was using Winn Adami to rig Tongos with multiple copies of the 7 cost Chakotay. He had a ton of bonus points, but honestly, that wasn't what worried me. The fact that I saw great card after great card get milled off the top of my deck was what really scared me. Luckily, I was still able to get the right skills, and with Mirror Starfleet's attribute bonuses, I was even able to complete one of my missions with four people. I give Corbin major props though for the ingenius combo. |

Round 3 | | Maggie Geppert | FW (+70)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
Maggie teaches me so much about the ferengi when she plays them. Moogie / Zek to fuel Reyga essentially. All in all a great ferengi deck. Another turn or two and she could have taken the win. Good game! |
Gah! Tongo + Chakotay + Kai Winn. SHOULD. NOT. BE. ALLOWED! It doesn't do any good to destroy the because they come right back. Definitely feeling some NPE this game. |
