You Can't Keep a Good Scientist Down V 1.1.2a |
Introduction |
Thanks to Maggie for running the tournament! |
|
Round 1 | | Brian Leonard | FW (+70) |
Brian brought a Romulan deck with lots of 5 point gaining and spending stuff. He managed to solve "Commandeer Prototype" after I'd solve 1 1/2 or 2 missions. Relativity outpaced his deck. |

Round 2 | | Eric Bieche | FW (+95) |
Eric has Borg with him and I think he was trying to play with 11 and 12 personnel crew solving fun. During my first or second mission attempt, I'd brought along an OT kirk and was surprised when Eric threw down only one dilemma. I wasn't sure if it was mind bleep-ery on his part or not so I took a chance and Kirk'ed it. He'd forgotten that I'd played the kirk and that was that. I won the game after he'd only had one mission attempt (his Borg got stopped by a Distress Call so we had some fun joking about what kind of distress call the Borg would stop for). |

Round 3 | | Maggie Geppert | FW (+100) |
I learned an important lesson during this game: if a dilemma is worded "choose a ... to stop. If you cannot, " and you unstop the person you chose (say, with Revised Chakotay) then you've effectively been unable to choose someone and therefore have to pay the consequences. Oops. That shook me up but I managed to go on and quickly solve my missions. |

Closing Thoughts |
I had fun but it might be time to bring something new. |
