Elderly Canines Only Learn Historical Magic |
Introduction |
I had no clue how this deck would do, but I wanted to learn how it would work then improve upon it. |

Round 1 | | Matthew Ting | ML (-70)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
With my HQ and Matthew's HQs at the opposite ends of the alpha quadrant spaceline Starfleet didn't have to face the wrath of the Klingon empire. I had to draw for my first ship since Matthew got pass a New Advancements with 3 or 4 personnel after facing Chula: The Chandra with 8 or 9 personnel. By the time I started attempting missions the Tribble Bomb had exploded and Matthew had a mission completed, and got another mission completed by end time while I got one mission completed and was attempting the next mission. |
His first mission attempt and he hits Gomtuu Shock Wave, with 2 Tactics dropping his only ship's range to 2. It took 2 copies of Straight And Steady for it to get home and be replaced by another ship, luckily his ship could cloak and could avoid my cloaked IKC Kladiyus with Chang / Captains Logs which I sent out to cause mayhem. |

Round 2 | | Smiley | FL (-70)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
After Mike's Borg did The Nexus ship swap his Borg plodded onwards to victory, while my Starfleet crews learnt that they needed more learnings and liked chasing the space fairies. |
This game went a little more in my favour. Having to balance all of the Starfleet stuff slowed Walzo down, which allowed my Borg to muddle through dilemmas to get to the win. |

Round 3 | | Steve Hartmann | FW (+75)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
With Wall of Ships, Columbia and Temporal Shifting in my opening hand I knew I had a chance a winning. Steve was in the lead for a good portion of the game until he ran into my Ankari's and danced with The Nexus I sent his way. From there the victory was a matter of completing my last mission for 100 points that was blocked by the second of Steve's Friendly Fire's that I failed to pass. |
Daniel triggered the Nexus which caused havoc with my low range Klingon ships. Ankari Spirits was brutal as I have little to no Honor and Walzo steamrolled home with most of my ships and personnel in the dead pile. |

Closing Thoughts |
I know now how to improved my dilemma combos to my liking, and I have ideas for the rest of this deck. This deck was more enjoyable than other 1E decks I've made in the past. |
