FerengiMoney Never Sleeps
Introduction
It's our release event for the Engage virtual set!

Round 1RomulanJoshua SheetsFW (+93)
My Ferengi got a great start getting the Kurdon as my regular card play and three free plays. Picard is downloaded by the Kurdon and I move the ship to Josh's mission next door to Host Metaphasic. Josh is playing a weird Romulan Orion deck and gets a slow start. He doesn't have TCC so that's a little weird. He says he doesn't like the card (!) On my turn two, I use Dr. Christopher (one of my AMS) at Josh's mission to download Data. I use TMW to make him mix with my other peeps. Josh makes few mission attempts and misreads Founder Secret to get stopped by it three times. I use some latinum to buy an ÉTU later and it saves Daimon Bok from Armus. I also use an EVA suit to save Dr. Arridor from another Armus later because of ACE. I get stumped by a copy of Founder Secret myself and have to solve Revenge Plot for the win 100 - 7.

Round 2FerengiJeremy NorrisFW (+95)
Jeremy is also playing Ferengi but he has Stone of Gol people, too. I get another great draw with the Kurdon in my opening hand. But I also drew Data before I could download him with Seek Out New Life. So, I download Capt. Picard with the Kurdon and on my turn two I download Jo'Bril with my SONL. I get Data into play with TMW. I think about attempting Host Metaphasic but Jeremy seeded it, too, so there a about 8 dilemmas waiting under it. I know my combo is Subspace Shockwave-Gomtuu- Maglock. I check and I don't have two diplomacy so I go next door to a planet mission. I get stopped by a dilemma and on his next turn, Jer plays Daimon Bok and comes and captures my Capt. Picard! Next turn I get Beverly and Quark out and send them to help solve the mission. I get back to Host Metaphasic but I had Beverly and a copy of Gozar got stopped at the planet mission. I end up not having enough officer to pass my Maglock, but on my next turn I get Beverly and Gozar to Host Metaphasic. Gozar helps pass Maglock. But, I lose five points to Vastly Outnumbered. Thankfully, Dr. Christopher is a mission specialist so I gain five points to cancel out the loss from VA. I head to Amnesty Talks and lose five points to Oh No! But my total score after solving Amnesty Talks is 100 points exactly.

Round 3KlingonRyan SuttonFL (-100)View opponent's Report
I had been rolling pretty hard and fast but Ryan (our wonderful tournament host) had been playing an ARMADA of ships all day and blowing up people's ships and outposts. He started the game with the Merc Ship in play thanks to the Stone of Gol people and I decided to take the fight to him with a first turn Kurdon and my seeded D'Kora Transport. I fail to destroy the Merc Ship because I realized my Battle Bridge Side Deck isn't really built to destroy ships but rather survive against attacks and damage the opponent's ship. I make a go of it, but I fail to score any points this game. Early on I tried to hide on my Ferengi Trading Post, with Strategic Base. But Ryan docked with the Trading Post (because that text allows it, dang it!) and we had a hand-to-hand throwdown on the FTP, LOL! Data cracked a guy in half but Quark was mortally wounded and I knew that was a losing proposition. Ryan eventually gets 9 ships in play - including the IKC Pagh and another Merc Ship and blows up my Kurdon. But not before I attack one of his K'Vorts and - using Weak Spot - beam over a strike team of Ferengi and Data, LOL! They kill off William T. Riker and have the empty ship to themselves. Sadly, Commandeer Ship is not Block legal so they sat on that ship for the rest of the game. It was still a blast to see Data and Captain Picard beating up Klingons.

Closing Thoughts
This tournament was great and I can't wait to go back to play there again in January 2013 for 1E Nationals East.
