FerengiMoney Never Sleeps v 2.0
Introduction
The first tournament at Chez de Baughman since Regionals earlier this year saw a great turnout of 8 players for 1E block! And we were glad to welcome our new (to us) player Derrick Marsh (HoodieDM) to the fold. I decided to haul Money Never Sleeps out of mothballs but I was a little rusty with this deck and it showed.

Round 1FederationMike Camp SrMW (+30)View opponent's Report
Cricketman is slowly warming up to the original version of the game after having learned how to play 2E years ago. His Federation deck was slow coming out of the gate, whereas my Ferengi guys were showing up, just not resulting in card draws as much as I would have liked. Mike's dilemma combos involving Medical Crisis were a BEAST for me to surpass. I finally got enough nurses/Medical personnel in play and started solving missions, but time ran out before I could get the full win.

Round 2RomulanNathan MiracleFL (-65)View opponent's Report
Nathan was playing his Romulan Underground deck and it was running on all cylinders! Once again, I saw a hand full of Interrupts and Events when I would have preferred more personnel. I'm thinking I need to reorganize this deck again. Nathan's dilemma combos are great in this game with Medical Crisis stymieing me once more. Also, we had both seeded Host Metaphasic Shield Test and I decided to let him stack his dilemmas under there while I seeded none at that spot. I barreled through his combo decently well, only to slam up against a Dead End! Well done sir! Meanwhile, he was attempting with 1 or 2 personnel every so often just to try and weed out some dilemmas. Intriguing...as there's not a whole lot of ways to punish that strategy in OTF Block ATM. Later in the game, Nathan had 13 personnel at a mission to get past Founder Secret and I followed it up with a brutal Fractured Time to remove 4 peeps from the game. I got three copies of D'Lors, his underground mission specialist, LOL! But Medical Crisis kept me locked out of my next-to-last mission and once he crossed the 50 point threshold, Nathan went and easily solved Host Metaphasic Shield Test FTW!

Round 3FederationMikey Camp JRFW (+70)
Mikey is always experimenting with his 1E decks because, like his dad, he is more of a 2E guy. His Feds did okay against me this game, but my dilemmas just proved too much for him at the final mission. I was able to solve for 90 points worth of missions and then used Ferengi Military Operations and Daimon Bok to score 5 points for capturing Picard. A few moments later, I beamed Quark down to a planet where Mikey's guys were stopped and had him execute a Business Gambit and score the game winning 5 points. Great game, Mikey!

Closing Thoughts
Having Derrick play in his first Charlotte event and seeing Ryan drive down from Tenn. and the return of Chris made this the best tournament we've had in quite some time! I can't wait to see everyone again soon!
