Mirror-Starfleet European Championships |
Introduction |
First I want to remarke that it was my first tournament having a earned bye and coming with my bicycle, because of my vacation afterwards. I brought with me my Starfleet-Mirror-Deck played sometimes and knowing well. After Lineage I modified my dilemma-pile, not in any case a right decision, read later. |

Round 1 | | Earned Bye | EB (+100) |

Round 2 | | Auwerd Bijker | FW (+65) |
Auwerd played Ferengis, never I try this deck against this affiliation, improved after Lineage. Especially I was afraid about Reyga nullifying my Reflection. Auwerd drew and played many rules to make speed but no Reyga, so I could stopp him with Inimidation, Chula-The chandra, Miners revolt...., but third times he called Never suck up... to overcome Sylvia and Rogue Borg Ambush and solved his first planet misssion. He went to the second planet now with Reyga, but I cold stop him with An issue of trust. I was lucky to solve my space mission in my first attemp, although Auwerd filtered my crew very well. But Archer and two Standard Punishment helped to solve with four. Now Auwerd went to space to get another turn after solving Falsify Distress Signal. But now my Reflection worked very well after removing Reyga with Secret Identity. I had some problems with An issue of trust on my planet, but I could send the Ferengis Where no one has gone before to win the game.

Round 3 | | Andrey Larin | FW (+65) |
My next game was against Andrey, playing TOS straight solver. So he started quickly at his space mission, but I used Reflection, Gomtuu and Where no one has gone before very effectivly, while I have no problems at my space mission. Afterwards it became more difficult, because Andrey has played Coordinated Counterattack and I missed the abilities of D'Veela and Navaar at my planets, but the time worked for me to winning the game. |

Round 4 | | Sebastian Kirstein | FL (-35) |
Only 4 players had won the first three games, I sit at table one and the next two rounds would become difficult, my expierences were not so good in such cases. Sebastian knowing him well from our own playgroup in Dessau played a very fine adjusted Romulan-Bonus-Point-Solver. We both had a good start hand but I couldn't play my Sight for sore eyes because I had no three Starfleet personnel. So Sebastian removed it with The Centurion while he used Tal often to get his important cards such Donatra, Ptol, Prejustice and politics, Karinna and Getting under your skin. Unfortunatily my Reflection worked only one times with The Conflict of Interests. Second time I revealed only two events and with Karinna he solved the mission. Now it became more difficult, because of Donatra and Access Contamination would overcome most of my planet dilemmas. I sacrified my Miners revolt, remove Donatra with Secret Identity and stop with the Oracles Punishment the one necessary Anthropology, I wouldn't need the other dilemmas. But I also run through the dilemmas yet, at space I solved despite of In development, Hard time and Tsiolkowski infection, didn't need D'Veela. At my planet An issue of trust stopped only 1 personnel, Temptation was not the best decision of Sebastian, overcomming with D'Veela. While In development was a better choice to stop me at the 3. mission, I removed the second Donatra and stop only two personnel with Iminidation and one with The captain guests and Sebastian solved short before I got my third. |

Round 5 | | Soren Ramme Nielsen | FL (-50)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
This was a very cut game. Refflection with Where no one has gone before workedn well at Sorens space space mission, the removed Archer and another Reflections brought time to me and only in 5. attempt Soren solves his space mission. But he sent me as revanche on journey too. In my third attempt I had it, afterwards a In development and a Timescape stopped my both teams at my third mission. Soren continued attemping his planets in the same round, he had enough personnel to get the first planet and at his third I learned about the special combination with Lorian in the second team, Hate, Vulcan Tricorder following the unstopping of the first team. 3 missions in one turn - congratulation. |
I played against Oliver in the Biermeister the night before and won, so I was sure that he was out to even out the score. And he was mighty close to doing so. Oliver played a nice Starfleet build with the mirror guys and the standard Reflections into WNOHGB combo dilemma pile that seems to always go with it. Luckily, I was only hit by WNOHGB once, but Reflections hit an additional once or twice and it took me 5 (?) attempts to get through ESN. The turn before I completed, Oliver completed his space mission and went on to Secure Strategic Base and formed two crews. I caught a lucky draw and was able to stop his first crew with In Development while Timescape ruined Oliver’s plans of a second attempt. On the subsequent turn I did not only complete my space mission but also both my planet missions in one go. At Investigate Refinery Oliver stopped the first crew of 8 and the second crew of 6 would not have been able to complete either (after a couple of kills?/stops? from Oliver’s dilemmas) had it not been for the Hate in my hand that (when Lorian gained a skill from the Vulcan Tricorder and was removed from the game) unstopped all the stopped guys from the previous attempt allowing me to complete the mission. Full win. |

Round 6 | | Peter H. Møller | FL (-60) |
Peter used a High Integrity Deck with TNG. Second time after the game against Sebastian I misses the cards such as Timescape, Insurrection or Skeleton crew for the small teams and low attributes missions. But I could stop him and sent him to the journey one time. But afterwards he use small teams and reported Kirk, while I started my battle against Legacy. The biggest mistake in this game was my decision under the pressure of time to start solving put my two Bridge officers Test under my deck, missing my Watch dog. And Peter used Mannheim Effect and The Tribunal of Q to get his Legacy back. And with a little luck my third revealed dilemma would be not The captains guest. Peter won with using To boldly go. |

Round 7 | | Štěpán Vyskočil | FL (-30) |
In the last round I tried to find a good finish for the tournament. But Stefan played a classical Klingon solver with a Kruge-option. And again I missed Insurection, Timescape...... One time I could send him to Where no one is gone before to get a little more time. But I had some pressure, because on planets it would become more difficult to stop him. But in my first attemp I was stopped after filter with an Fesarius Bluff, need 45 Cunning I count and add my three Standard Punishment and tought I can use my Bridge officers test, but I made a mistake and cunning was one to low. So I solved in the third attempt like Stefan, but he started earlier. After I took two prisoners with Sylvia and used Secret Identity for Klag to stop the Klingons with An issue of trust I went on to fly to my first planet, made the mistake to leave my Defiant destaffed. After Stefan stopped me, Kruge had his perfomance and commandeered first my I.S.S. Enterprise and next round my Defiant. So my personnel had holydays on the planet, using to solve the mission. So I had two missions with 70 points, he 2 too with 60. Time was over and when he solved his mission he would win the game. I awaited two teams, 2 dilemmas were under and so I decided to take a Racial tension, a Inferiority for the second team and a Rogue Ambush. And first I was a lucky gay, I drew Riker and another Klingon for Racial Tension, but Kruge was within team and with the cunning increasement of the alternate Klingons Stephan could solve the mission and won. |
