KlingonNo Peace in the DQ
Introduction
I was looking for a new spin on one of the three headquarters I hadn't played this year so far, and so I decided to try a DQ Klingon deck, going for Cunning missions with Treachery & No Peace in Our Time. It turned out to be a pretty decent mix, going 2-1 and only losing one game because Alexander Rozhenko is 1/4 Human! Great fun with this deck, would definitely try again.

Round 1BlAz3DMW (+30)
AJ has been my kryptonite for the past couple events, but I finally got a win against him, missing the full win by 5 points. I finished 3 of my missions, and realized that playing Wormhole Negotiations meant that I had to start the Voq'leng at Qo'noS; thankfully I would still be able to report people aboard while I was in the DQ. After time was called, AJ was working on his last mission (Brute Force) after dropping Sword of Kahless AND Enterprise-J. So besides crazy +3 Strength Klingons, I needed everything I drew against him, and still only barely stopped him after An Issue of Trust.

Round 2MaquisNon-AlignedJohnny HolevaFL (-10)
Johnny surprised me with a deck I hadn't seen before, and immediately wanted to try sometime: Holograms based out of Athos IV (since most of the Future Voyager 'grams could play there). I wished I had kept Swashbucklers in my dilemma pile for this one, since he was cheating left and right around skill dilemmas with Cluttering, Fitting In, and Security Drills. The critical moment in this game finally came when I was able to get K'Temoc on the table with two Spirits of Kahless and Point Blank Strike out with Call to Arms. I went over, beat up his guys and scored 10 points, then unstopped everyone… or so I thought. Turns out only Klingon species get to keep going… K'mtar remained stopped, and then I only had one 4-cost personnel for the second battle. I missed the mark by 10 points before Johnny wrapped it up in a great chess match.

Round 3TNGThomas VFW (+100)
Some classic entertainment against TV; his TNG battle deck drew first blood, with the Enterprise-C (of all ships) attacking the poor defenseless Voq'leng out in the DQ. I sadly couldn't find my Point Blank Strike to return fire, so I limped home and repaired, enduring TV's lambasting of my cowardly Klingons. I would get my revenge however, when I tagged him with a Prefix Codes at his space mission. I had been holding onto the Ning'tao, and already played Call to Arms, leaving the 4-costers at Qo'noS while everyone else kept pinging Inversion Mystery. The Ning'tao was able to take out the Enterprise-C single-handedly with Shields -10 from PCodes, and I had the rest of the game pretty well in hand after that, cancelling some events with Korath, and excluding people from random selections with T'Greth. An entertaining and thematic end to the tournament.
