Enterprise Easy-E |
Introduction |
I was trying for No Tricks, the achievement that requires you to play with no events or interrupts. So I needed the best crew I could get: TNG! I decided to try the two Science bonus point missions (since Ent-E could score at both) and then round the corner with Treat Plague Ship. |
|
Round 1 | | Jordan Smith | FL (-35) |
I got majorly ship-screwed on this one, but managed to sort of come back on the last turn to make up some differential. Still lost in the end. |
|
|
Round 2 | | Ted Reebel | FW (+35) |
Ted got the ship-screw this time. I got my Enterprise-E out fairly early and with some back-up, got my two planets down for 40 points each. Ted was unable to keep up and Treat Plague Ship went down for the win. |

Round 3 | | Andrey Gusev | FW (+40) |
So I ended up being one of the only 1-1 players to not have played Andrey, and since he was the only undefeated player, as luck would have it, I had a shot to win the event (it would have involved the other 1-1 players getting less than FWs, which was pretty unlikely). Andrey had some problems assembling a crew between his two HQs, but his early dilemmas kept me busy. He got a ship out before I could close out Avert Danger for full points. He kept pace and actually got ahead when I drew very poorly on dilemmas at his space mission. I cleaned up my 2nd planet and started pinging Treat Plague Ship. I held Andrey off at Brute Force for one last turn, splitting my crew into 7 and 4 (Data had shown up by then, and Beverly was my only Med). He played a couple dilemmas to stop the first crew, no Timescape. I tried with 4, and he couldn't play either of the two dilemmas he drew. |

Closing Thoughts |
My first game was pretty unfortunate (thanks Lackey shuffle). I felt like the second two games were more indicative of the powerhouse TNG solvers of the CtA era. |
