KlingonRomulanRed Hulk
Introduction
On Thursday our playgroup had an impromptu tournament, in which I played Red Hulk (red and green Klingons). I won that tournament, but I wanted to give the deck another go before I move on to something else. So, I brought it down to Atlanta for some new competition.

Round 1VoyagerMikey Camp JRFW (+80)
Or perhaps some old competition. Mikey and I started out the previous tournament facing each other in round one, and we had both used the same deck for both tournaments. I won the previous engagement, but it had been a fairly close game, so I cannot consider this one a gimme. Mikey could be a good player, but he has a tendency to think out loud. At one point he flat out said he only had one Security, so I was able to pick on that skill to make this game fall less close than the previous one.

Round 2DominionMichael SheaFW (+50)
As soon as Michael sat down, I knew if I lost I would only have myself to blame. After all, Tulaberry Team is MY team! But where I have always gone with Cunning, Michael has focused his deck on Strength, taking advantage of Crom. The strategy does not pan out for him, though, as I pick on his Diplomacy to prevent him from completing missions. I realize at some point that Michael has no 40+ point missions, so my Headbutt Challenges go off unabated, allowing me to pick up the two mission win.

Round 3Greg HodginFW (+50)View opponent's Report
Greg continues the theme of making me face familiar cards, as his deck makes great use of Rule of Acquisition #239. Two times over the course of the game, Par Lenor lets him spend an additional nine counters. Even though I discarded one of his Ferengi Traditions with The Great Material River, and his other two apparently got buried, the true turn in the game came when I used Inequitable Exchange to capture Par Lenor. Not only did it deny him the counters, it took out his only Geology, screwing him up at one of his missions. The 9-cost Rule did hurt me in terms of the Headbutt Challenge, so I ended up completing three missions for the win instead. Sidebar: One copy of Toq had a VERY busy turn. I discarded him with L'Kor to exclude Duras from Personal Duty's random selection, then put him beneath the deck with Tokath to make L'Kor lose his skills for the same dilemma. At the next attempt, Secret Identity allowed me to get the SAME copy of Toq into play an in a mission attempt. He went from hand to discard pile to deck to in play all in one turn.

Round 4CardassianRomulanmacgyverFL (-35)View opponent's Report
I knew immediately Nick planned to abuse Kira Nerys, Illiana Ghemor. I hope to go second, but "win" the right to go first, allowing Nick to download Kira with Historical Research. I know my deck is mostly personnel, so I do not fear Prejudice and Politics, but rather save my Tacking Into the Wind for Getting Under Your Skin. I can tell Nick's deck is not running at full capacity, because I denied him several opportunities for bonus points, but Kira's ability to get out double-digits worth of personnel as a simple order is tough to combat. I end up making a last-ditch effort, attempting with 15 personnel when I know Nick could win next turn. I figure removing personnel from the game with Fractured Time is no worse than having them stopped, when I know I won't get another turn. But, Fractured Time manages to avoid my Engineers and 1-cost personnel, so the follow-up Coolant Leak stops just about everybody else. Next turn, Nick abused Power Shift to complete Historical Research with three personnel to win the tournament.
