Things started out pretty great. After R1, David was in the lead with 13K and I in second with 11K. After R2, Ian had joined us with 10K, but David still had the lead with just 14K. Things looked good for someone pulling Speed Demon.
R3 changed things little. Ian managed to find a 100K and take the lead and Richard was finally on the board with 100, but it still looked like a Speed Demon game. It was R4 that changed that. Too many Masakas to keep that other guy from going out, and there were suddenly decent sized play piles. Richard went out with the most impressive one of the bunch to go up to almost 750K. This was thanks to 6 big cards and an IDIC.
R5 and we can't get Speed Demon. Everyone needs to go out big to even have a shot, but Richard plays smart and goes out early to cement the win. |
