J (The Mad Vulcan) Tournament Report - Tr - Online Event 2014-07-16 - 07:00 PM Do You Close Your Eyes Introduction Work ended a bit early, so I was finally available for Wednesday night Tribbles. But with Andrea on vacation, it looked like it might not happen. Luckily Jon, Josh, and I managed to rope a random guy in from the chat room and thus we had a new online Tribbles player with Mark. Round 1 () Mark was not as much of a virgin as he had led us to believe and was running a deck with nothing bigger than 100. This screwed Josh, who was downstream of Mark as there was a tendency for him to get 1000 as the option to play with Mark doing a 1 Go, 10 Go, 100 Utilize on most turns. That combo helped him go out in Round 1, but left him with few points since there wasn't anything bigger than a C in his play pile and his Utilize had hit nothing bigger than a grand. Round 2 () My deck didn't start running until it had a decent sized graveyard, which was around Round 2. Mark managed to Utilize a big money here and Josh Utilized for a 100, but I went out with 283K to take the lead. Round 3 () Jon was actively playing to give Mark nothing to work with and or Battle his deck into oblivion, which was pretty hilarious. Josh wasn't doing much since he kept running low on 1000s. And Mark was helping me clear my hand down by Utilizing me, since my hand had given him points most often (though Jon always put out the big ones). I went out again, this time relatively quickly with 253K more for my lead. Round 4 () Josh managed to utilize for a grand sometime between round 3 or 4 which had him at a rather low score, but not as bad as Jon's nothing. Mark continued to slowly churn points off Utilize, but found little big money, and I went out a third time for 133K. This one was smaller as it was the first time that I did not have a IDIC. Round 5 () The final round actually saw a lot of scoring, though nobody overtook my lead. I didn't get anything here, but Mark Utilized 4 times and found two big moneys to get him to a 332K final score. Josh also managed to get a big Utilize, but Jon did the most here by going out with 414K, netting him second place. Closing Thoughts Fun, I really like this deck. I won with it, so the next time I'll have to change it up for more achievements.
