Introduction |
AFter the crushing defeat of placing 9th in the 2nd heat of 2E, I was excited to play 1E, however I did not think that my FC Feds would take me very far. The FC Feds are my baby, and I have been trying different builds since SoG was released. This version utilized Mission Debriefing and Dilemmas that lose points to buy me time. I thought I was going to go 0-2 drop because they are more of a fun deck, but fate had a different path for me... |

Round 1 | | Mark Morris | FW (0) |
I played Mark the day before at 2E and destroyed his Terek Nor deck with greasy hair Dukat. I don't think I beat Mark so much as he stumbled and wasn't quite prepared. At one point he went to get his Space Dock, only to realize that he forgot to include it. I used my crew like they were not important to me and they chewed through 3 missions pretty quick with heavy casualities. However, 3 missions gave me 105 points and the FW. Mark was one of the greatest guys I met all weekend and I look forward to any future matches we get to play. |

Round 2 | | stephen lee | FL (0) |
A fellow Risan, Stephen can run circles around my 1E knowledge. Stephen absolutely owned me and demonstrated why DQ is better than AQ. Always a scholar and a gentleman, Stephen is always fun to play and my 1E IQ goes up everytime I play him. |

Round 3 | | Matthew Hayes | FW (0)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
I finally got to play Mr. Achievement and once again he was going for an achievement! NA played slow at first, but once he got a crew together they were a dilemma busting juggernaut! My Feds/Sona/Androids were too quick though and I squeaked out the FW. Great game, and Matthew and I had many laughs before, during, and after. |
Chris, running Matt Kirk's "As Dope..." TNG movie era Feds deck (if I'm giving credit where credit is due?). A VERY, VERY good deck. I could not keep up, but, I certainly gave it the old college try. A blast of a game. Congrats, Chris. To the future! |

Round 4 | | Karl Lindemann | FW (0) |
I thought this was where I would get my 2nd loss. I was surprised to see the Enterprise-E staring back at me! The bajoran part of the deck was clicking with Resistance dudes coming down, and a station full of guys doing stuff. However the movie feds were failing to staff their ship, and I was out of the gate pretty quick. I managed to get the FW before the Ent-E got staffed. Another friendly, and fun game reinforces why Trek is such a great play experience. |

Round 5 | | Chris Castagnetto | FW (0) |
This was for Top 4. Loser would not advance. Chris had an amazing Romulan deck and immediately stole my Earth because I am dumb. That mission will NEVER be in my deck EVER again. I barely managed to out race Chris who easily would have had the game the turn after. It took a little luck, aggressive play, and all my tricks to pull out the win, but somehow the First Contact Feds made Top 4. Paxan Wormhole really was the MVP here. It got placed perfectly which allowed my Outpost to "hide" from Raptors. He also mis-seeded Scout Encounter there and thought it worked differently (Chris thought he got to battle first). However, the minute the Cha'Joh reared its ugly head I sent it packing since I didn't see an android. I felt proud to represent Risa, and all those returning/casual players. Less than a year after my return to 1E I was competing for its highest honor. |
