CardassianCardassians - Ver 1.0
Introduction
Dan made a bonus prize if playing a DS9 affiliation and I had wanted to try playing the Spoon Heads for awhile. I took the Worlds Top 8 deck and felt like it was really slow, usually getting out to attempt on turn 6. I stripped the deck down and removed a lot of the fluff and with practice draws felt like this deck could get out and start attempting on turn 4 consistently.

Round 1DominionJD_AshleyFW (+100)
Deck hit Damar on turn 1 and was out of the gate on turn 4. JD was playinga slower Dominion build and it just couldn't race. JD is always a great opponent and a fun guy to talk to. Very enjoyable game and I was glad to see other people were running a DS9 deck!

Round 2CardassianRomulanTerok NorDan HammanFL (-45)
3 HQ's!?!? Dissidents!?!? Dan was running the "old" Romulan/Cardassian/Terek Nor deck...that I had never seen before. To make matters worse my deck was drawing piss poor and I didn't start attempting till turn 5 with no The Central Command. Dan's deck was working beautifully and when he won I felt like I was 1-2 turns away (probably 2). Very cool deck and Dan totally took me to school!

Round 3Terok NorThomas VFW (+100)
This was revenge for the 1E beating he gave me :) TV was running Terek Nor and seemed slow out of the gate but was also running Counterinsurgency Program and other "wall" dilemmas that The Central Command chews through. I use TCC to plow through on my first attempt in Space and then it was just a matter of chewing through the final two missions. TV was in a rough spot constantly needing to play 2 "walls" in order to stop me (plus the other dilemmas) so I was able to get through each planet in 2 trys.

Closing Thoughts
Could I have brought a better deck? Yes. Would have been DS9 themed? No. Great tournament with a ton of prize support and I left with a VP Covenant, VP Power Shift, and an X FOIL Necessary Evil Odo which went right into the deck! Great event run by Dan and it was awesome seeing the San Diego crew again!!!
