DS9Something Borrowed, Something Blue
Introduction
Ever since Continentals, I have been wanting to play DS9. Seeing Nat Kirton's build was refreshing and I felt like my first step was to gut everything extra and take it back to something simple and from there I could work it up into something more tuned for a current meta. The dilemma pile is just a modified pile from Continentals, updating it for the new set. Obviously the synergy between deck and dilemma pile can be improved on, but since I got married a few weeks ago I haven't had much deckbuilding time.

Round 1Hell's HeartAaron WeilFW (+100)
Aaron just could not get out of the gate with Khan and I picked up the quick win.

Round 2Hell's HeartCarlos MayaML (-40)
Carlos walled me at both missions and while I felt given 10 more minutes I could have evened up or pulled ahead, when the clock hit 60 he had the lead. Excellent plays by Carlos and some bad plays by me, but always an enjoyable match.

Round 3KlingonRyan HillFW (+40)
I was able to delay Ryan at the first mission but this was a race I barely won. I thought I put up an amazing dilemma wall in space but he just tore through them. It was a nice game and we discussed the stale feeling of his usual deck, the Borg, and what is needed to help them become relevant again.

Closing Thoughts
A fun event at my place and two more joined us for Tribbles afterwards! We had NFL redzone, pizza delivered, holiday beers, and the comforts of home for a cozy pre-holiday tournament. -Chris
