Round 1Christopher CoyleFL (-20)
Round 1 - vs startrekccggeek: Mr Geek was running a Delta spaceline, which gave me a hand-picked Alpha spaceline to play on. 3 Kobayashis was a bit concerning, however... They went on my PNZs and the other Neutral Zone location that was closest to Earth and Romulus (Covert Installation). Iconia had 2 dilemmas under it, but I didn't venture that far. I went first. I played Cretak for free and grabbed the Breen Warship as card play (didn't really have anything else good to play), grabbed all my downloads (Lam, Leyton and R'Mor). Soon an Access Denied hit the table as a Hidden Agenda. Chris attempted first, but his 12-person crew got stopped by The Clown: My Festival. I got Secure Homeworld out, and had a reasonable number of people around to attempt, so attempt I did. Access Denied was flipped and hit Romulus. Not really surprised. Ferengi Ingenuity stopped Lovok and Parthok, and Kelvan Show Of Force killed Cretak. Dejaren killed Tomalak, and stopped the remaining Parthok. Leaving some folks behind to pass My Festival, The Chandra picked One, who died to Subspace Fracture. After a couple of turns, Bashir and O'Brien Founders and La Forge Impersonator redshirted Earth (I'd gotten the Espionage out very early), but alas they couldn't defeat the awesome power of Ferengi Infestation. Mr Coyle solved Study Protonebula for 40 points. I sent more people over to Earth, but miscalculated and didn't quite have the Cunning to pass Ferengi Infestation. Mr Coyle moved across to his next mission and downloaded a Holo-Projectors for it. DNP deactivated five holograms, and Alien Parasites hit, so I redshirted the other crew one at a time, sacrificing them to Hanonian Land Eel. Ferengi Ingenuity dissipated, so I had 2 Computer Skill back. I decided to go with Romulus first. Parthok died to Deneval Neural Parasites, Tallus and Selok boosted the mission-solving points to 40. Mr Coyle Holodeck Doored Sumek to the ship above his deactivated Away Team, but didn't enter play activated. Another ship had to come over to activate the holos, who reattempted the mission. And were missing a Security for the Eel. I played Handshake to draw 3, played a guy for free, and Regenerated. I moved back to Earth and reattempted. Finally beat Infestation, then lost 5 guys to Denevan Neural Parasites, losing both my Founders, but not Selok. The 5 remaining folk managed to pass New Essentialists, then I brought the Warship back to drop off a second Tal Shiar (BC Sela). 40 more points took me to 80, in the lead for the first game in a while. Mr Geek's Holograms solved Establish Home Planet for 55 points, putting him back in the lead (95 points). I threw everyone I had at the nearest Patrol Neutral Zone. Major Rakal went onto the Kobayashi Maru. A QTR was pitched to get Access Denied on that mission too. I couldn't pass Ferengi Ingenuity. Chris brought a substantial crew to bust a third mission. Hull Breach took out Harath and Sumek. Birth Of Junior hit, as did The Cloud. Another ship came and swept in to solve Answer Distress Signal, but only for 30 points as all the holograms had just been stopped. Good game. Final score: 125 to startrekccggeek, 80 to me. Hey, I got a bunch of points!

Round 2 - vs The Ninja Scot: President Van Breemen was playing a Vidiian/Equinox deck, and got a fantastically fast start. First turn (he went first) he attempted a Space mission. Hull Breach took out the Mission Specialists, two Security people. Birth Of Junior hit, The Cloud didn't. A skill was missing preventing a solve right then. I DH'd for Leyton, Shape-Shifted him for O'Brien, got Homefront. Got R'Mor. I'd used my card play on Handshake function 3, so I didn't get my Warship/Lam that turn. The Ninja Scot got enough Engineer out to pitch Junior, and solved the previously cleared Study Protonebula. Moving across to his next mission, he sent some folk to attempt. Denevan Neural Parasites selected Telari, Motura, Telek R'Mor and Penk. After a Special Download of The Rock, Penk and Telari kicked the proverbial bucket. 2 Vidiian Harvesters saved R'Mor and Motura. Alien Parasites was failed. The entire Away Team, and crew of the orbiting ship, died one by one at the (hands?) of the Hanonian Land Eel. Booya. I got my Secure Homeworld out and attempted with 5 or so Romulans, who failed Founder Secret. My next turn, I moved O'Brien Founder over and swapped some people out. Firestorm killed Sela, Major Rakal, and O'Brien Founder. The remaining 2 people couldn't pass In The Pale Moonlight. I tried moving the ship back, but it was pointed out my 3 Integrity dude was boosted by Lower Decks. Next turn I played Leyton Founder and Shape-Shifted him for a Founder Leader from deck. 2 Mission Specialists then gave me the Homeworld for 40 points. I sent 3 Founders to attempt at Earth, including the just-played Bashir Founder, who immediately went back to Romulus with Hippocratic Oath. Combo Love Interest/Plague Ship sent Velal to the other end of the spaceline, and killed Founder Leader, Selok and Cretak. Mr VB had gathered a new crew together, and now managed to pass Hanonian Land Eel and solve Assist Co-Operative. (+30=60) I sent Lovok, Lovok Founder and Parthok to redshirt Earth. Barclay's Protomorphosis Disease found them short any Security. The Ninja Scot had sent his elite Vidiian squad to attempt another mission. Dal'Rok had been easily passed, and FLI+Scow sent Danara Pel back to the Outpost, and stopped the attempt. Now the Equinox moved the Scow, and sent an Away Team to reattempt Expose Plot. Chula The Game stopped everyone for that turn and the next. While waiting for that crew to return, he attempted Liberation. Horta killed Dr Nydom. Crew Advancement stopped Danara Pel. This left only one person with the Integrity to beat God. Thus God would not be beat, and the Equinox went Boom. MVB's other ship, a Vidiian Scout, was stuck unstaffed between the missions that were being attempted. I Regenerated, then Masakad. Not entirely liking the hand, I pitched my last QTR on table to Masaka again. I redshirted Earth with 3 Founders, and they couldn't pass The Clown: Beneath The Mask. My next turn, I attempted Earth with everyone, did pass it and solved Earth (+40=80). Not being able to solve Liberation because of the ship situation, Mr Scot found himself short an Exobiology for Expose Plot. Lacking any discard-cycling cards, he was going to be stuck on 60 points, unable to do anything, for the rest of the game. I attempted my Outpost PNZ, but was lacking any Diplomacy for The Clown: Guillotine (neither Diplomacy person saw play). My next turn, I moved next door to the other PNZ. The Clown: Playing Doctor killed Tallus and Leyton Founder. No Mission Specialist points for PNZ, I guess. Emergency Conversion was passed by Telek R'Mor and O'Brien Founder, Bashir Founder joined them for passing The Cloud. Founder Leader provided the Leadership for solving Patrol Neutral Zone, taking me to 120 points and the win. Good game. Mr first time playing Mr Van Breemen, and it was a lot of fun to play against him. Final score: I got 120, he got 60.

Round 3 - vs SAM2000 KHAN!!!! Mr 2000 went first. He had a DQ mission and the rest were AQ. I put the combo with the Combo Scow in the DQ, just in case. Stuart seeded the Reliant at the Time Location. On my second turn I had the opportunity to attack it with the Dominion Battleship, but I wouldn't have been able to destroy it. Nevertheless, not attacking was probably a mistake. After that point the Reliant got a Stolen Cloaking Device, and my personnel started getting picked off. The Battleship ran away down the spaceline, and the Reliant followed. An Open Diplomatic Relations got played on the Battleship. I attempted the Patrol Neutral Zone furthest away from the action, and got stopped by a Maglock. Khan and the Subspace Transporter caught up with the ship, taking Lam and Lovok. While the Reliant was moving away from it, I got Secure Homeworld and three people on Romulus and attempted. Founder Secret was first, and I had no Founders there. I got 3 Founders on Earth and the Espionage there, and attempted. Hanonian Land Eel killed Leyton Founder. I got another ship out (Goraxus), and that soon had ODR played on it. With some Romulan support, the Founders reattempted Earth. Got through the Eel, Praetor Neral as the only Diplomacy was stopped by Blended, Shaka was impassable. I Regenerated, a Quantum Slipstream Drive brought Khan and crew over to Earth to pick off the Away Team there. First up was my only Diplomacy in play. After some mass assimilation, Khan attempted Earth using Selok, used mostly stolen Diplomacy to pass Shaka, and 2 stolen Founders to solve. (+40) Using Lovok Founder and the Shape-Shift Shuffle to get an extra Founder to Romulus, I reattempted to Secure Homeworld. Passed Founder Secret this time, Blended stopped Tomalak and Shaka stopped the rest. Somewhere around this point I should have checked if anyone was left on board the Battleship, and TMW'd a Founder onto it. Some Khan folks beamed off the Reliant on Covert Installation, Hidden Fighter got Yridian Shuttle and Establish Landing Protocols, the shuttle went to the Genesis Planet and some of my Cet Eeled people redshirted. Horta killed Selok, Crew Advancement stopped Cretak, God blew up the shuttle. O'Brien Founder died to Horta. The Reliant came across, solved Genesis Planet (+35=75), got the Genesis Device onto the Reliant. 5 points were lost to make the Genesis Planet a Space mission (-5=70). I couldn't really do much at that point. At the start of Stuart's turn, the Revenge text kicked in and he scored 30 points and won. Final score: 100-0 to Mr 2000.

Round 4 - vs Hoss-Drone: Mr Drone had an interesting spaceline of 2 Delta missions and 4 Alpha missions. It turned out he was playing Dominion, but with a different strategy than I've been testing. He quickly commandeered Empok Nor and got a bunch of Equipment, then Ultimatumed for the RSD and Equipment. I got O'Brien in the opening hand, but not a Shape-Shift. I got Leyton out, drew into Shape-Shift and switched for O'Brien and got Homefront during Hoss's turn. Kevin's assault team attempted to Subjugate Planet. 4 hand weapons saved the 4 Away Team members from the Denevan Neural Parasites. Alien Parasites got me control of the Away Team and crew of the orbiting ship, then one by one they all faced the Hanonian Land Eel. I sent a bunch of people to Secure Romulus. 4 of the 7 died to Denevan Neural Parasites. O'Brien Founder died to Dal'Rok. Founder Leader died to the Land Eel. Mr Drone rebuilt his forces and solved Runabout Search with Subjugate Planet, getting 10 extra points from Establish Dominion Foothold. Victory Is Life got 5 more points, but I Reffed for In The Zone. EDF got him an RSD and Birthing Chamber (=55, 50 CTW). I rounded up enough strength to pass the Eel (but had a total of 150 I+C+S, so not pitching the Rok) and attempted. Forgetting the Science. Oops. I came back a turn or two later with enough to pitch Dal'Rok, pass the Land Eel, and 2 Mission Specialists to Secure Homeworld for 40 points. Kevin played Subjugate Planet on a Delta mission. I attempted Earth and hit a Dead End. Mr Drone's supercharged Jemmies (2x Disruptors and 2x Rifles) hit the DQ and they tried to Subjugate Research Phage. Dal'Rok was no problem for them. The Female's Love Interest portion of the Combo Scow also had no effect on them. The Scow stopped them for the time being. At this point I drew out my deck and Regenerated. After moving the Scow, the Jemmies hit Chula The Game. I blew up the abandoned Attack Ship in the Neutral Zone and attempted the non-Outpost PNZ. The Outpost PNZ was next to Earth was next to Romulus (end of spaceline). Bitter Medicine did its thing, Ankari Spirits hit. Next turn I rescued the remaining folk there, and reattempted. Bitter Medicine selected Leadership. Maglock. 2 could pass it with their boosts, but Sela only equalled it. Hoss's hordes subjugated Research Phage (+40=90), then Victory Is Life pushed him up to 95. I Shape-Shifted a Leyton Founder from PNZ to a Lovok Founder from deck. I reattempted, but a Treachery call stalled me yet again. The opposing Dominion had made their way back to the Alpha Quadrant. Komar Possession hit a Security and a non-Security, but there were many Security Jemmies left over to cure it. The Swarm hit, then did Cytherians. I went to pick up some folks, then we ran out of time. Tough tough game, complicated by some Skype issues. Final score: Hoss-Drone got 95 points and a Modified Win, I got 40 points.
